A general question about these threads.
Do you games master or the people who make guild wars ever look at these threads and change things?
Have there been any recordered time they have done this?
(This is just a question and nothing critical is meant by this and I didn't put this in question and answers becuse I think are specifcally in game related )

Yes. Obviously 99% of these threads are junk, but once in a while there's something good and they do use it.
Can't think of anything specific atm.

Well, this would be fairly useless if they didn't. I don't know about anyone else, but I /sign and do not /sign things so that Arenanet may get a better idea of how many support and do not support an idea to be implemented in the game, and not just to brag my opinion across the internet.
To answer, yes, they do. Hopefully, they do not take them all seriously.

Most of the Suggestion threads are to 'start' the real idea and to se what players want.
Everyting else is in the hands of the developers, and their clocks.

Yes they did change it a lot due to the suggestions.
Hmm let me think of an example.
I think the Hero over hench is a pretty good example. Pretty sure someone suggested it long ago (couple years.)
I'm surprised that the auction is not in action yet. But if you are interested, read those that have Stars stars stars on it. Galie Grey do read those threads.!

Yeah. There are many things players suggested.
Heroes, PvE skills, Insignias and Inscriptions, PvP item creation panel, Hard Mode...
The list goes forever.

No. XD
Supposedly Gaile reads most of the threads. She just don't have tme for all of them, nor to answer. Then she makes reports of what she she people wants and send them.
After that, it's all in the hands of the developers.

Not to brag or anything, but about 5 or 6 weeks ago, the whole ladder freezing and resetting thing was kind of sparked by me about 8 weeks ago in a thread here.
Things here do get considered, and maybe used every once in a great while, although it is very seldom. There are many good ideas here that get passed by, but there are a few ideas that get used.

The Dervish and the paragon are the 2 most best examples, how excessively whining ideas in forums can get implemented somehow in a game, as long you can agree with the fact, that anet makes then total crap out of your concepts

Look at it this way.
GW:EN started out as a guru/GWO idea. Lots of people kept suggesting that A.net "reopen the catacombs" of presearing in post searing. What we got in response was the depths of Tyria.
People became obsessed with Gwen for a long time. People kept posting about how "I've found her in a super secret place." She became a legendary figure of sorts on forums as people looked for Gwen. So... she came back as a hero.
People kept suggesting a rogue type class, we got the sin.
Paldins and shapeshifter suggestions became the dervish.
Bards became paragons.
Shamans became ritualists.
Lots of ideas were propossed by the community. Now, we can't claim credit for all of them. A lot of them are probablly just coincidences. Some though (especially the depths of Tyria) seem to fit too perfectly.

where the reality is that a Assassin is NO rogue, the Dervish is NO paladin, just a freaking Wannabe-God with a Scythe and no dance skills which are the real speciality of real Dervishs.... the paragons are only Wannabe-Bards/Angels with perma boring white armors (i'd love it, when paragons would have more differency in their armor sets, but they look all too much the same) and rituals have nothing from Shamans ...
the ritualist in GW is just a Wannabe-Occultist which can only summon weak ghosts..but no mighty Demons >.>
I hope really GW2 will never see again so much Wannabe-Professions full of failing concepts, cause of a way too much not well thought out attribute system and a flawed failing 2-Class System that can only produce wannabes, where even secondary class combinations can become more powerful, then they primary vise versas ...
best example the Ritualist...which is with Splinter Weapon and Barrage much stronger, then a Ranger with the same combination.
this difference could be only changed, when anet would make it finally possible to used on your characters any Runes, regardless of the secondary profession...then those strength differences due to different rune settings wouldn#t exist anymore in GW and the game would become more balanced + there would be lesser class discrimination then maybe ...

As can be seen, not all ideas here should be implemented. There's a lot of stupidity when people are allowed to vent their creative spleens, but there's the occaisional gem.

I hope you apply for a job as Anets development lead. I hope they hire you for that job. Then you can get laughed at by the 'pros' at Anet, and fired on your first day. Dude, stop making suggestions like this, as your ideas tend to be ways to make the game easier, yet throwing balance out the window.
Yes, the Dev's get ideas from these threads and implement them on occassion. Most of the ideas here suck, are not balanced, or are not possible though. The ones that are balanced (or can be), possible, and liked by the users here, Anet may use if they can, and want to.

What?
If I recall, runes worked for secondaries.
But mesmers where best elementalists than elementalists(How thare them!)... so they changed that.
Armor and primery attribute are the only two things that make characters different. You remove that, you get... bleh.

So... because Guild Wars didn't copy WoW and other game in the genre EXACTLY... a.net sucks?
Another brillant post Phoenix Tears.
And no Mithran, you can't use runes from your secondary.
